Ranking results 2017
As in previous years, Inspicos has been ranked as a highly recommended firm in the 2017 edition of IAM’s Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. On the basis of market surveys, the following testimonial is provided by IAM’s editors:
Prosecution powerhouse Inspicos blazes a trail in oppositions, appeals and contentious support. Its percipient attorneys – whose work is “always at the highest level of quality” – also dispense sage advice on filing strategies and portfolio optimisation. The thriving firm has recently taken on new staff to cope with a torrent of new briefs hitting its desks in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
In the 2017 edition of Managing Intellectual Property’s World IP Survey, Inspicos has for the tenth year in a row been ranked in Tier 1. MIP’s survey is a qualitative ranking based on comprehensive analyses and a high number of interviews of clients, competitors and partners, and further based on each firm’s track record.
The editors of MIP have stated as follows with regard to Inspicos:
Inspicos specialises in patent prosecution, and is excellent at it. “The firm has a number of individuals who we consider to be industry-leading practitioners,” says a client. Another client adds: “Overall, perhaps the most experienced in Denmark.” Among the highly recommended patent attorneys in the team are Jakob Pade Frederiksen, Peter Koefoed and Ulla Klinge. Pia Stahr and Edward Farrington are also recommended in their respective fields, particularly in chemistry. Chemistry specialist Jesper Thorsen “is a gifted attorney”. “Each of them are top of the range and are very impressive at the international level,” a client notes. The team is also respected in EPO oppositions. One client says: “Jakob is an expert in oppositions.” “They’re very consistent, stable and produce solid work,” one rival confesses. “Most European patent attorneys in Denmark have been taught by people in this firm,” one peer explains.
