Patent consultancy
As a patent consultant, I advise Danish and international chemical and biotech companies as well as universities and research institutes on how to best secure IP protection for their inventions. I conduct novelty searches, draft and prosecute patent applications.
Focus areas and educational background
I am a European Patent Attorney, having passed all of the European Qualifying Examinations (EQEs) in 2022 on the first attempt (Paper D of the EQEs was sat individually in 2021).
I have a B.Sc. with Honours degree in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Glasgow and an M.Sc. degree in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
Technical fields of specialization
My background allows me to work comfortably both in the chemical and biotechnological industries, having expertise in organic, biological, inorganic and physical chemistry including e.g., pharmaceutical chemistry and chemical biology, small molecule drugs as well as protein/peptide chemistry.
Experience
I have worked in various roles (student assistant/paralegal, patent administrator and patent attorney) for 6 years prior to joining Inspicos at a small private firm in Copenhagen. Through these activities, I have gained extensive experience in most sections of intellectual property law. I attended the CEIPI Tutorial Groups in Copenhagen as well as various external courses in order to prepare for the European Qualifying Examinations. I am also an ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys) member.
When I am off-work I travel (both within Denmark and internationally) to explore our beautiful planet and all of its magic; which then inspires me to create and re-create recipes at home from all around the world to be shared by my family and friends.
