Carsten Borgund Hansen advises a number of Danish and international industrial companies on whose behalf he among other things has drafted a large number of patent applications, infringement and freedom-to-operate analyses, patent strategies etc. His technical focus areas are cells, proteins, and nucleic acids and other molecular biological tools for use in biotechnology and medicine. Carsten has a technical background as a Master for Science in biochemistry with a PhD degree from the Faculty of Medicine. He is a member of various professional forums under the Danish Association of Intellectual Property Attorneys (ADIPA) and also a member of the European Qualifying Examination Committee responsible for the legal paper. Carsten is a past examiner at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and has held a position as inhouse patent agent in an international pharmaceutical company.
