My background and fields of specialization

Patent consultancy
As a European Patent Attorney, I advise various Danish and international industrial companies, as well as universities. I work primarily with the drafting and prosecution of patent application, as well as with infringement and freedom-to-operate analyzes, patent strategies and more.

Focus areas and educational background
My technical focus areas are organisms, proteins, and nucleic acids and other molecular biological tools for use in biotechnology and medicine, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic methods. I have a technical background with a master in biochemistry and a PhD degree from the medical faculty.

Technical fields of specialization
My areas of work include pharmaceuticals, medical applications, biotechnology, protein chemistry, genetic engineering and green technology.

I am a member of various patent and technical forums, including ADIPA, and I have also been a member of the EQE (European Qualifying Examination) Committee responsible for the legal Paper D. I have taken CEIPI’s litigation training and also been appointed as an expert judge in patent litigation in the Norwegian appeal court. Previously, I have been employed by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office and as an in-house patent agent in an international pharmaceutical company.

You’ll find my CV on LinkedIn.

Recent projects

The latest project I have been working on is a freedom-to-operate analysis for a medium-sized pharmaceutical company. I also recently completed an assignment for a client who wanted a patent strategy. Here I had focus on making sure that the IP strategy was designed and executed based on a real understanding of the clients innovation and business base

When I work with my clients, I try to build trust, confidence and openness about the processes. Responsibility is exactlty one of the values we work with at Inspicos, which among other things means that my client can trust me to take care of his best interests

On a personal note

When I do not advise the biotech and pharma industry on patent matters, I like to go for long runs, preferably in the mountains, bikes, swims or hunts in the sea. I also have a small family, a garden, a greenhouse, chickens, a horse, and a cat to look after
