Patent consultancy
I advise Danish and international companies, universities and start-up businesses. Most of my work is to write and prosecute patent applications, evaluate the patentability of new inventions, and conduct due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses.
Focus areas and educational background
The technical areas I focus on are antibodies, peptide- and protein-based pharmaceuticals, and human or microbial cells for use as medicines or in biotechnology processes. I have an MSc from Uppsala University in chemistry and physics, a PhD in Biomedical Radiation Sciences and spent two years as a postdoc at the Sloan Kettering Institute. I am a European Patent Attorney and passed the CEIPI course on Patent Litigation.
Technical fields of specialization
Pharmaceuticals, medical use, biotechnology, protein chemistry and immunology
Experience
I was previously employed as a patent counsel at an international pharmaceutical company, but started my patent career in the U.S., where I worked at a U.S. patent law firm and passed the U.S. patent bar exam.
I am Swedish and live in Sweden, driving to Denmark for work. Even after 15 years of commuting, I get a kick from crossing the bridge. What awaits on the other side? Strangely enough, I often find myself in Copenhagen also on the weekends, since my family is happy to explore ”byen”
