Administration and coordination of patent cases
In my job as Patent Administrator, I handle all sorts of administrative tasks related to the patenting process: filings and formal processing of the application (including filing miscellaneous documents, responses and attending to fee payments), docketing deadlines, and corresponding with patent offices and colleagues around the world.
Fields of specialization and educational background
I hold an MA in International Business Language and translation (French), and a BA in Business Languages (English) from Aarhus University. As of 2016 I am a Qualified IP Administrator (QIPA) under the Danish Institute for IP Education. In addition, in 2022 I passed the EPAC exam (European Patent Administration Certification) organized by the European Patent Office. I strive to keep my knowledge in the patent administration field up to date by regularly participating in courses and events and by following relevant, professional peers online (LinkedIn). For the time being I handle mostly patent cases for universities and smaller Danish firms, but in my career, I have handled the administration of applications for all varieties of clients, from single inventors, start-ups and to large multinational corporations.
Experience
Having worked in patent administration since 1998, I have a very broad understanding of the procedures and have been involved in most aspects of patent applications. Before joining Inspicos I worked more than 10 years in the inhouse patent department of a large pharmaceutical company as well as more than 16 years altogether in two other Danish IP law firms.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family. To recharge my batteries, I often go for a swim, and I go to the gym every week to work out. I have recently taken up running again - slowly… and also enjoy hiking. I love relaxing in our holiday home in the North of Jutland in long weekends and vacations but do also travel abroad every now and then.
