Patent consultancy
I help small and large Danish and international companies and public research institutions protect their inventions. I draft and prosecute patent applications, perform patentability assessments and freedom to operate analyses, and assist in infringement and opposition cases.
Focus areas and educational background
Prior to joining Inspicos, I was a PhD candidate in intellectual property law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen. In my PhD project, I studied exclusivity-based incentive mechanisms, particularly the granting of exclusivity extensions to incentivise antibiotic innovation. I specifically researched so-called non-transferable and transferable exclusivity extensions provided in the form of extended patents rights and extended regulatory exclusive rights. The thesis is to be submitted in the Spring of 2024.
I hold an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from ETH Zurich, an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Chemistry from ETH Zurich, and a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
Technical fields of specialization
Medicinal products, medical devices, peptide chemistry, polymer chemistry, catalysis, process chemistry, materials chemistry, food chemistry
Experience
I started working as a patent consultant in 2018 but paused my patent attorney training from 2020 to early 2024 in order to pursue a PhD in intellectual property law.
