Administration and coordination of patent cases
My tasks as a Patent Administrator cover all aspects of patent portfolio management on behalf of our clients, including handling of deadlines and formalities in relation to the filing and prosecution of patents. I am also responsible for corresponding with foreign agents, Patent Offices and our clients in Denmark and abroad. Finally, I translate patent claims and legal and court case documents.
Fields of specialization and educational background
I hold an MA in International Business Communication and translation in English, a Diploma in French and a BA in Business Languages, English and French. In addition, I hold IPLEGALED’s US patent paralegal certificate and I am a Qualified IP Administrator (QIPA) under the Danish Institute for IP Education. In 2023, I passed the EPAC exam (European Patent Administration Certification) organized by the European Patent Office.
Experience
Before joining Inspicos in 2003, I held a position as patent administrator, translator and head of a translation department with another large IP law firm for 11 years. In addition to working for more than 30 years as a patent administrator and translator of patent claims and legal documents, I participate in the team handling the ongoing development of mail and e-mail communication with our clients and Patent Offices.
When handling our clients’ applications, I strive to invest my full dedication and perseverance – Commitment is one of the core values at Inspicos and my clients may rest assured that I strive to be prompt and available at all times for help and assistance
In my spare time, I read and knit (preferably simultaneously!), I travel with my family or hike the Camino or in Sweden. I often find myself surrounded by a lot of happy choir boys from my sons’ choir, the Danish Boys’ Choir, at which I have volunteered for 10 years
