I advise companies primarily in the Health Care sector, helping them to build and position the strongest possible patent and regulatory defense for their most valuable assets. My work focuses on long term patent strategies, due diligence and litigation preparation, ensuring that your portfolio of exclusivities continuously can support your business decisions and value creation.

Focus areas and educational background

I specialize in chemistry and life sciences. I have a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. I am a European Patent Attorney, and I have passed the CEIPI/epi diploma course on patent litigation in Europe.

Technical fields of specialization

I specialize in the fields of pharmaceutical drugs, formulations and treatments, but also deal with biotechnology generally.

Experience

I started my patent career as an examiner at the Danish Patent Office, and worked for 25 years at Novo Nordisk, where I was overall responsible for generating and defending the patent protection that was the foundation of the commercial success of numerous blockbuster drugs. I was also heavily involved in maintaining a high quality of work products and efficient processes in the patent function.

I have been involved in training of Danish patent attorneys and paralegals for more than a decade.
